A man has been found dead after falling into a sinkhole in South Korea, officials have said.
Measuring roughly 20m (66ft) deep and 20m wide, the sinkhole appeared on Monday afternoon at an intersection in the Myeongil-dong neighbourhood in eastern Seoul.
Emergency officer Kim Chang Seob said it swallowed a man who was on a motorbike and injured a woman who was driving a van over the site as the ground collapsed.
He told reporters the man, in his 30s, was found dead before midday on Tuesday after an overnight search.
The man was wearing a helmet and motorcycle boots. Rescue workers found his motorcycle and mobile phone before reaching his body.
Mr Kim said rescuers used excavators, shovels and other equipment to find the motorcyclist. He added the woman sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the sinkhole is under investigation.
