Ashton Jeanty NFL Draft odds: Bears favored to take star RB; Cowboys out?news24

One NFL franchise is gonna get its hands on one of the most prolific college running backs in decades.

Ashton Jeanty spent three years as a Boise State Bronco, and all he did was rack up 4,769 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns.

His 2,601 rushing yards this past season placed him second all-time on the single-season rushing yards list, just behind the legendary Barry Sanders, who rushed for 2,628 yards in 1988 at Oklahoma State.

Where will all that groundwork land Jeanty in the 2025 NFL Draft? Let’s see the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of March 5.

Which team will Ashton Jeanty be drafted by?

Bears: +225 (bet $10 to win $32.50 total)
Cowboys: +275 (bet $10 to win $37.50 total)
Raiders: +275 (bet $10 to win $37.50 total)
Saints: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total)
Broncos: +1000 (bet $10 to win $110 total)
Chargers: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Steelers: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)

When these odds opened, it was Dallas all the way.

Now … not so much.

Although the Cowboys are still tied in second on the oddsboard, it’s the Bears that are now at the top.

Dallas owns the 12th overall pick in the first round and the 44th overall pick in the second round. Chicago owns picks No. 10, 39 and 41.

While the Bears struggled to move the ball on the ground last season (102 rushing yards per game — 25th in the league), Jeanty never had that problem in the college ranks, averaging 5.3 yards per carry as a freshman, 6.1 as a sophomore and 7.0 as a junior.

The first-team All-American and two-time Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year also led the country in carries last year with 374.

Going back to Dallas, Cowboys reporter for The Athletic Jon Machota reported this week that it is unlikely the team will go for a running back early in the draft.

“Though running back is one of Dallas’ biggest needs, it doesn’t sound like they view it as their top priority at No. 12,” Machota wrote. “Jeanty could be the pick, but it’s sounding more likely they will go in a different direction. This is considered a strong running backs class. Targeting one in the second or third round seems like a better bet than Jeanty at No. 12.
